You are buying ONE (1) only of a Large Rectangular Reticulated Cordierite Infrared Heater Support Element or Filter. It is made from the high purity mineral Mg₂Al₄Si₅O₁₈ which is also 2MgO·2Al₂O₃·5SiO₂, a magnesium alumino-silicate. The maximum application temperature for these filters is 1300 °C or 2372 °F. They may also be used as soldering and welding plates. These tile tend to be far more fragile than Zirconia. So do Handle with Care to avoid damage.

The inherently large surface area is well suited to emitting the largest flux of evenly distributed infrared radiant energy.
