SHOTEN GTE autofocus adapter - Contax G mount lens to Sony E mount camera (Sony α)
SHOTEN GTE is a revolutionary electronic mount adapter that allows Contax G mount lenses to be used with Sony E mount mirrorless cameras. This revolutionary adapter has an AF drive motor inside, which moves the lens mount surface back and forth to focus the camera. Various information is exchanged between adapter and camera through the contacts on body mount of adapter.

*1 When attaching the Biogon T* 21mm f/2.8 to an APS-C size camera, there is a possibility of damaging the camera and lens if the procedure is not followed properly. Follow the steps below to install the adapter.
- Attach the GTE adapter to the camera first, and then attach the lens.
- Remove the lens from the GTE adapter first, then remove the GTE adapter from the camera.
*2 Although the GTE adapter can be attached to and used with the lens, infinity shooting is possible only at the telephoto end (70mm end).
*Carl Zeiss Hologon T* 16mm f/8.0 is not compatible with this adapter.

CONTAX G-E INSTRUCTION
When you use this adapter ,it will show the max Aperture of your lens on camera. For example, if your lens is Planar 45mm F2, the aperture will show F2 after using this adapter.
AF/MF Switching operation
l For the normal shooting, Press “Fn” to switch between AF and MF.
l For AF mode, Press “Fn” once to switch Normal manual focus MF mode. Press ”Fn” again to switch Macro manual focus MF mode.
l When you in MF mode,Press “Fn” to switch between normal MF and Macro MF.
l If you need switch back to AF, please keep pressing the “Fn” with 2 seconds.Then the adapter will switch back to AF mode.
Operation Sequence of Lens Specification Setting
l Turn off the camera power.
l Please keep pressing “Fn” when you turn on the camera. At this time,the adapter is MF mode and can adjust the aperture.
l Adjust the aperture to the correct value with the corresponding lens. (shows in pic below)
l Please take a photo to confirm the parameter of the image after adjusting correct aperture.
l Turn off the camera power.
l Uninstall the lens adapter from camera and install the adapter again.
l Turn on the camera, then the setting will be completed.
