A BEAUTIFUL PRESENTATION OF A OLLECTION OF ROMANTIC POEMS BY ALFRED TENNYSON.

Published in 1888 by Estes & Lauriat, Illustrated by various illustrators, 3/4 LEATHER.  Aqua blue-green leather, marble endpapers with a complementary color scheme, 5 raised bands and gilt titling and decoration on spine, all page edges gilt.  There is moderate to heavy corner wear, light edge wear, some wear where boards meet spine, but they remain solidly attached.  There are 7 poems in the book.  Beautiful marble endpapers, unpaginated but there are 24 glossy pages starting from the half title page to the last page.  There are 2 blank paper leaves up front and 2 paper leaves in back.   No interior marks, solidly bound.  There is a slight cracking at the spine at the half title page.  BEAUTIFUL ILLUSTRATIONS THROUGHOUT.  There is no formal attribution of the illustrators - many are signed.  Ones I can read include:  M__ Humphrey (can't make out the full first name), Copeland, W.L. Taylor, H.P Barnes, and one with a box that looks to have two letters perhaps "F G" and then two numbers below it "8 8" (unsure of these letters and numbers).

From the internet on the title poem, The Ballad of Oriana:  "In the poem, Oriana stands on the wall of a castle, watching her betrothed in a battle below. An arrow meant for the knight strays, killing her instead."

I hope the other poems are happier!
