• Heat dissipation: At high load the triac gets hot—use a heat sink/ventilation and mount in a safe enclosure.

• Load type: Rated power is for resistive loads. Inductive loads (transformers, AC induction motors, compressors) are not recommended—they may buzz or overheat.

• LED/CFL/SMPS: Only works with devices specifically marked triac-dimmable.

• Protection: Add an inline fuse or breaker sized for your circuit.

• Mains safety: Follow local electrical codes; isolate live parts.
