50s 60s day dress in TURQUOISE with small burgundy print - Mid Century full skirted dress with CINCH belt and big COLLAR - S

Early 60s full skirted shirtwaister day dress. Lovely bright turquoise blue colour with a small scarf style print in abstract burgundy, black and yellow. Fitted bodice with short sleeves and a high v-neck with a huge collar. Three chunky buttons to the chest. Waist is nipped in and further cinched with the wide belt. Full skirt. Inset back metal zipper fastening. Fabric feels like a cotton blend. No makers labels, most likely handmade, but to a high standard.

Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.

The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a Small. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.

Chest: 36" but best fit slightly smaller, I would estimate for a 33-34" chest (I'm a 36" bust modelling this in the photos and as you can see it is a bit too tight!)

Waist: 26"

Hip: free

Shoulder to waist: 15"

Shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 14.5"

Length: 38"

(There is a 2" hem on this)

CONDITION

Very good condition.

Belt buckle is a little bit discoloured. The previous owner have also added to additional belt holes, which have not been stitched just punched through. Not noticeable when worn and would be easy to finish off with some stitching.
