FASHIONED OF A MACHINE MADE BLACK LACE WITH A DOT PATTERN WITH THE LINING IN A BLACK POLISHED COTTON
THE INNER BODICE IS FULLY BONED AND CLOSES WITH HOOK AND EYES AND THE BOTTOM IN PLEATED SATIN BELTING WHICH HOOKS CLOSED AT THE WAIST
THE CUFFS ARE PATTERNED IN STRIPES THAT MATCH THE BOTTOM HEM OF THE SKIRTING
I WOULD ALMOST REMOVE THE INNER LINING AND REPLACE WITH A COLORED LINING TO MAKE THE LACE REALLY STAND OUT.
CONDITION: AS SEEN, THE HIGH BAND COLLAR IS ABSENT, NOT FOUND WITH THE PIECE.
THERE ARE SOME SMALL HOLES SEEN TO THE SKIRT, APPROXIMATELY SIX WHERE THE HOOKS OF THE BODICE OR THE SKIRT HAVE CAUGHT THE LACE, ALL ARE EASILY REPAIRED TO UNSEEN WITH NEAT STITCHING.
SMALL WEAR TO THE BLACK SILK SATIN BELTING AT THE VERY BOTTOM EDGE. THE INNER LINING OF THE BODICE HAS SEEN A PORTION ON THE FRONT HOOK CLOSURE REPLACED AS PICTURED AND I PERSONALLY WOULD REPLACE IT WITH COTTON AS THE FABRIC USED WAS A LATER TAFFETA.
TWO SMALL MENDS IN THE STRIPES OF THE BOTTOM RIGHT CUFF ARE HARD TO NOTE BUT PRESENT.
A BEAUTIFUL GOWN THAT IS FULLY STRONG AND WEARABLE.
