Krampus is a horned, menacing figure from Alpine folklore—particularly in Austria and Germany—who travels with Saint Nicholas during the festive season. While Saint Nick rewards the good children, Krampus handles the naughty ones! With his claws, long tongue, and birch branches, Krampus brings a deliciously dark twist to Christmas tradition.

His legend dates back to pre-Christian winter rituals, and his name comes from the German "Krampen", meaning claw. Though once nearly forgotten, Krampus has seen a worldwide revival in recent years, especially through events like Krampuslauf (Krampus runs).
