This is one of the rarest of all Kinks EPs, many say the rarest of all Kinks UK EPs. An original 1968 first pressing of the self-titled 4-song EP with selections from Something Else: David Watts, Two Sisters, Lazy Old Sun, and Situation Vacant. Pye Records NEP 24296, with original stamped matrix number NEP 24296A-1 and NEP 24296B-1, with a triangle and T. This mastering and pressing is easily the best way to hear these songs, which sound here so much more present and fully three dimensional than even on the original LP. And this copy is absolutely immaculate. Impossible to find it in this condition. Truly the disc plays almost flawlessly and sounds just magical. The sleeve is also I exceptionally excellent condition, with a touch of VERY slight bending around the shape of the record, and a couple of small corner dings. I have tried to show it clearly in the photos but if you want to see something closer message me and I will take further pics. Though the cover isn't absolutely mint perfect, I would say it is the best copy I have ever seen of the original, and I have seen a number of them over the years. There is an old 1960s price sticker still in place, which can be removed, I'm sure, with lighter fluid, but I kind of think it is a great addition, in the old money system... anyhow this copy is a top, top copy, unlikely to be bettered.
