Timing belts enable synchronous positive-fit power transmission in car engines. Their function: To drive camshafts, injection pumps, balancer shafts and other ancillary components. The high quality of the Continental timing belts provides high quality performance.

- Timing belts should never be kinked! If the sensitive fiber-glass tensile member in the interior breaks, the belt can tear while the engine is running.
- Instructions on fitting, storage and replacement intervals should always be followed.
- The product name indicates the number of teeth: For example, a belt designated 158 Z therefore has 158 teeth.

Timing belts are subject to aging and wear. They therefore must be regularly checked and replaced. The checking and replacement intervals are always specified by the vehicle manufacturer and must be complied with.
