On 2 September 1945, Japanese officials signed the documents formally surrendering to the Allied forces.

Thus ended the Second World War, 75 years ago.

We commemorate those who served and acknowledge the lasting impact that this conflict had on Australia with this stunning coloured aluminium/bronze uncirculated two dollar coin.

Coin comes encapusulated in a lovely illustrated folder from the RAM.

The design is highlighted by a map of the South East Pacific and Asia region, united with the Dove of Peace.

A full-colour motif dominates the heart of the 20.50mm flan.

This motif represents the Army, Navy and Air Force and with a 7 pointed star representing the Commonwealth.

Coin also displays the stars seen on Mother’s and Widow’s Badges.
