Next Man In by Gerald Brodribb is the definitive classic guide to History of Cricket Laws and their background - essential for all cricket historians and useful for umpires, cricket scorers.
This copy is the Third edition (1995) which gives many new examples of incidents that caused the Laws to be changed or re-interpreted and omits some examples from the previous editions - first published in 1953, enlarged in 1985 and completely revised in 1995
We would love someone to bring it up to date.
This third edition does includes the MCC Laws as they were in 1995 - obviously it does not include the major changes in 2000, 2011, 2017, 2019 and 2022.
