Gun Tap benefits for Through hole tapping = Swarf is pushed forward ensuring the flutes do not get clogged, lessening stress on the Tap & reducing the chance of breakage. This benefit allows the Gun Tap to be manufactured with shallower flutes maintaining the core strength of the Tap.If you're Tapping through holes or have extra depth available = a Gun Tap is a must.
