Description: London: Methuen & Co. 16th edition. 1938, complete in DJ. Music by H. Fraser-Simpson. Decorations by E. H. Shephard. First published in 1924. Brown cloth boards with illustrated title block, Beige spine – book has been well protected by good DJ. Music score. 31 by 24.5 cms. 34 pp. Charming songs of which the most famous are, Buckingham Palace, - "They're changing guard at Buckingham Palace. Christopher Robin went down with Alice. " and Vespers, "Hush! Hush! whisper who dares, Christopher Robin is saying his prayers.".

Condition: Book Condition Very Good. Boards slightly bowed wear to extremities, corners and head and tail of spine bumped. Front prelims lightly foxed, tiny loss to corner of p. 3. Inscription to FFEP dated 1941. Binding is firm, pages clean with light age toning. DJ is good – slightly grubby chips to edges, small splits around folds and spine a few marks. Our Opinion: Delightful Musical book, following Milnes verses set to Music by H.Fraser=Simpson. Rare in DJ

We conservatively grade each book in an honest and objective manner.

Mint/Fine: - Like new, No faults, appears unread.

Like New: - Appears unread, May have the slightest marks.

Very Good: - Clean condition with no significant faults. Will have a few minor defects.

Good: - Book condition reflects its age, will have some faults, foxing, bumping, scuffing, inscriptions etc

Acceptable: - Well read. Reading copy only. May have significant wear and tear, may have loose pages, plates missing, or external damage.
