Manshu Ueda (上田萬秋 /上田万秋 , 1869-1952) was a Japanese-style painter. Born in Kyoto. Graduate of the the Kyoto-fu Gagakko (Kyoto Prefectural School of Painting). Pupil of Keinen Imao. First showed with the Naikoku Kangyo Hakurankai, then a frequent exhibitor and prize winner at the Bunten; also an exhibitor with the Teiten. Active in Kyoto art circles. His style a mixture of nanga and a little of the Western influence that tinged all Japanese painting of his period. Specialized in flowers & birds painting.1903: Won a prize at the 5th Naikoku Kangyo Hakurankai exhibition.
