Shipping - Please read before ordering

Your order will be shipped using a third party less than truck load ("LTL") commercial freight delivery service. The LTL common carrier will be using an eighteen-wheeler to deliver your product. AC America will not be liable for undeliverable orders due to the in accessibility of the shipping address. In that circumstance, AC America will work with you the customer to arrange a nearby delivery or customer pick-up location.


Before accepting your order verify that all items ordered have been delivered and none has been damaged. Make a visual inspection of the item by lifting up the carton. Cartons can be loosened at the bottom and lifted up for visual inspection of the item. If there is damage refuse the item or items and make notations on the driver’s paperwork. Then call 888-877-9811 to report this damage. Thank you. This is your responsibility because your signature on the shipping documents indicates that you have received all items and they are acceptable!


IMPORTANT - We make every effort to ship the items as ordered. However, mistakes do happen occasionally, and the wrong product is shipped. You are making an expensive purchase. It is in your best interest to determine that the products that you are signing for are the exact products you ordered. If you fail to do this and install a product that is the wrong product we cannot be held responsible and assume no liability for the installation of this wrong product.


AC AMERICA DAMGE & RETURN POLICY

AC America is not responsible for and will not be obligated to cover ANY damage that occurs in shipment that is not noted by the recipient at the time of delivery.

Before accepting your shipment, inspect the item(s) carefully for any shipping damage and they match the quantity and models ordered. Missing items must be reported within 48 hours of receipt. We cannot be responsible for missing items unless you report them within 48 hours. Release the bottom of the carton and lift it carefully to visually inspect before accepting. It is possible that small dents or dings to the housings can occur in transit. These are normal handling abrasions, Minor flaws that are cosmetic and DO NOT affect the integrity, operation or warranty of the system. Please note the flaws on the trucking bill and accept the shipment. In the event that major damage is found, NOTE the damage on the trucking bill, along with the drivers' signature and call us immediately. 

 

If you (OR SOMEONE ELSE ON YOUR BEHALF) accept the delivery with NO DAMAGE NOTED, OR DO NOT INSPECT ALL THE EQUIPMENT, AND DAMAGE IS FOUND LATER YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE A CLAIM. WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HELP YOU – WE WILL NOT SHIP YOU A REPLACEMENT - AND WE WILL NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THE SHIPPING COMPANY. ONCE YOU SIGN, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR SHORTAGES. 

 

Please remember to register your equipment within 60 days of installation to get the maximum warranty. All warranty issues must be handled by AC America, LLC. Call 888-877-9811 and we will process any claims. 

 

CONSIGNEE INSPECTION CHECKLIST

Inspect the shipment as follows: 

§  Tell the driver you will need 5 minutes to inspect the package 

§  Inspect the package thoroughly, back to front, top to bottom, side to side, opening the packaging as needed.

 

If there are ANY signs of damage or shortage (even minor scratches, holes, or dents): 

§  Write a specific and thorough description of the damage and/or shortage on the proof of delivery (POD) 

§  Note on the POD if the Shrink Wrap IS or IS NOT INTACT 

§  Take pictures immediately

  §  Report it to the shipper immediately. Concealed Damage must be reported to the carrier and AC America within 48 hours of delivery.If you ordered the wrong item OR do not want to keep the item you ordered you may return the item within 30-days (see conditions below) by contacting us for a Return Merchandise Authorization ("RMA"). 


Acceptance of returns by AC America is subject to the following conditions::

1) Equipment has not been installed

2) New and unused in original box and packaging

3) No water damage to box

4) No damage to equipment 

5) No duct or foil tape on box

6) All original manufacturer's paperwork is with the equipment

7) All equipment must be strapped to a pallet and shipped in a manner that will prevent damage during transit.

8) The equipment will be inspected upon receipt and credit may be denied if requirements are not met.

9) You are responsible for paying:

a) The original freight charges* to ship the item to you

b) The freight charges to return the item

c) a 10% restocking fee.


NOTE: Items sold with free shipping incur freight charges and if you return the item you will be responsible for the actual freight cost to ship the item to you.

NOTE: IF DELIVERY IS REFUSED ON AN UNDAMAGED ITEM IT WILL BE TREATED AS A NORMAL RETURN AND BE SUBJECT TO ROUND TRIP ACTUAL SHIPPING CHARGES AND A 10% RESTOCKING FEE.
