Corriden (W/trading card), signed index cards, and finally a piece of stationary for the Brooklyn Dodgers football team.

The Continental Football League was a professional American Football league that operated in North America from 1965 through 1969. It was established following the collapse of the original United Football League and hoped to become the major force in professional football outside the NFL and the AFL. It owed its name, at least in part, to the Continental League, a proposed third Major League organization that influenced MLB significantly (but never played a single game). Finding a place to play in Brooklyn proved to be a challenge, as Ebbets Field had been demolished in 1960. An attempt to use Shea Stadium also failed, as the AFL NY Jets were not interested in sharing the facility; the Dodgers then brought suit to abrogate the Jets' "exclusive rights" to play at Shea. Finally, the club inked a deal to play their home games at Downing Stadium on Randall's Island—quite a distance from Brooklyn. (Ironically, the football Dodgers wound up playing under the Ebbets Fields lights anyway; they had been moved to Downing after the older stadium was torn down.)

Even at Downing, the Dodgers apparently had trouble securing dates; a season-ticket application showed only five home games in a fourteen-game schedule. In any event, small crowds (only 30,702 combined for four games, including 12,000 for an exhibition contest) caused the franchise to become a league-operated "road club" in October. Although a completely different organization from the baseball Dodgers, the football Dodgers did hire hardball legend Jackie Robinson as their general manager, featuring him in their promotional materials
