Stearic Acid is a natural saturated fatty acid and is usually used extensively in skin care, cosmetics and other products. Its purpose is for thickening, emulsifying, and stabilizing the formulation of your cosmetic and skin care products.
Derived from a vegetable fat, specifically from coconut and palm oil, Stearic acid can be used to harden soaps, including those made from vegetable oils.
Usage level: 0.1-1% typically - up to 15% for some applications.
