Offered for your consideration is this wonderful shell cameo brooch. I believe the cameo depicts Diana (among her many duties she is the goddess of birds), but these cameos are often open to interpretation. The cameo and the setting are in excellent condition - no defects to note. Any dark areas on the gold setting in the photos are shadows - the gold is intact with no dents, tears or repairs.  The setting is marked "14K" gold - it measures 2 5/16" (58 mm) x 1 13/16" (46 mm) x 3/8" (10 mm) not including the straight pin - the actual cameo measures 2 1/8" (54 mm) x 1 5/8" (41 mm).
