All scoops— including side scoops, hood scoops, and roof scoops— from Duraflex are designed as aftermarket accessories. Due to the nature of fiberglass and the manufacturing processes involved, these scoops are not “direct bolt-on” parts. They may require additional preparation, such as sanding, shaving, filling gaps, or other custom bodywork. Installation may also involve modifications to vehicle components to ensure a proper fit.

Certain scoops, like side or roof scoops, may require fewer modifications depending on the vehicle’s design, as they typically attach to existing panels. Hood scoops may require cutting into the hood to create functional airflow or achieve proper fitment. In some cases, additional fiberglass reinforcement may be necessary for stability and durability, especially in high-stress areas. Proper alignment and secure attachment are crucial for all scoops, particularly in high-speed or off-road conditions.

While these scoops can enhance the look and performance of your vehicle, Duraflex strongly recommends professional installation by a custom shop experienced in handling fiberglass components to ensure proper fit and safety.

Duraflex scoops are designed strictly for off-road and show applications. Due to stringent Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, many of these products are not street legal. Duraflex does not endorse or recommend using side scoops, hood scoops, roof scoops, or other scoops on public roads or highways.
