 This lovely Tassel Doll in a pretty lavender and purple party outfit with wide brim pink.  Pink tassels.  Off-white stand with crystals all around the base.  The original gift box is purple with red polka-dots.

She is style #TD290

This beauty is brand new, never displayed, with original box. Her stand is included, and you can remove her from this stand and hang on doorknob or cabinets via the loop at the top of her head. She is made of a bonded resin.  The lavender part of the gown and the purple gloves are sculpted from the same bonded resin material as her upper body and face. The purple ruffle is actual fabric.

What are Tassel Dolls?! Tassel Dolls are fashioned after the Half Dolls that were originally made in Germany in the early part of the 20th century. These modern day tassel dolls are reproductions of the antique half dolls. The dolls have only upper bodies and are elaborately clothed and decorated. Many are fashioned in victorian decor but there are also many other themes such as angels, fairies, even tassel ANIMALS! Our tassel dolls from Popular Creations have the porcelain bodies, some of the other companies are doing resin bodies. Other half dolls or tassel dolls include Powder Boxes, ornaments, pincushion girls, and sachets. Browsing through antique stores, I often see these lady porcelain upper bodies in showcases. In the olden days, these girls were most likely finished off in lovely tassels or fabric decorations.
