2 Dragon Fruit Cuttings,  Megalanthus Pitaya Pitahaya Hylocereus Cuttings App 6”

Being a tropical plant, dragon fruit likes water, needs full sun and well-drain. If not well-drain, the roots will be rotten and not grow.  They can be planted from seeds or cuttings, either directly into garden or pot.

When planting from cuttings in pot, make sure the pot is well-drain. Prepare a 1 or 2 gallon pot, fill with potting soil and inert the cuttings into the pot. Keep soil moisture, place the pot under sun. It will get roots and start to grow. When it is strong enough, transfer it into a bigger pot.

When planting from seeds, potting is preferred.

Just prepare well-drain pot with some sands at the bottom and fill with vegetable potting soil, make the soil surface even, spay some water on the soil and place the seeds on the soil, then, cover a thin layer moisture soil.

To keep the pot soil moisture, a thin plastic sheet on the pot is suggested. Then, place the pot on your windowsill with sun shining at least six hour a day. Check the soil every day, spay some water if needed.

The seeds will germinate and sprout in about one week when the temperature around 72 to 75 degree.

When the plants are strong enough, you can transfer them into your garden.
