From the personal library of Lord Avebury, with his fine engraved Armorial bookplate and with his autograph "Avebury 1901" on the title page. Avebury was a famous collector and author of numismatic works himself, and many penciled annotations on the plates and text of this copy, in a fine contemporary hand, seem to match parts of his autograph and may possibly be his.
