Hello, up for sale is a Victoria era garnet necklace with ornate silver clasp.  There are 7 strands of beads and they are in a cranberry shade.  The necklace has an ornate clasp with a floral design and garnet stones in the center of the flowers.  The clasp is so ornate that I believe you would wear it in the front.  The back of the necklace has a center bar that keeps the beads in alignment and secure.  The necklace is a choker style to be worn at the neckline or on the throat as was the custom.  It measures a petite 14 1/2 inches long.  The clasp is silver, marked 835 on the back as was the custom of jewelry at that time.  It's still in excellent condition for its age.

Thanks for looking!
