These are (probably) one-of-a-kind labels made for the St Laurent Petroleum company, which operated in Montreal in the 1950s. I would guess that they are experimental designs, as they are both coloured differently and look different from the St Laurent oil can that I recently listed and sold on eBay.
They come from the estate of someone who made advertisements using silkscreen. I suspect these were made from that technique (I'm not an expert) as you can feel the texture on the paper. They're probably unique and were probably not mass produced in this form, especially since there is no info on the labels re: size. The labels are about 16cm tall and 28.5cm wide, so they fit the cans height wise but don't go all away around.
The labels are in very good condition. There are tape marks (from residue and removal) on the ends, probably from being taped to the tins for viewing. The tins are approximately 10cm wide and 16.7cm tall, which from my math makes their volume about 1303ml, making them slightly bigger than an imperial quart. Both cans have a bottom but no top.
All in all they are very interesting, likely unique pieces of oil-related graphic design. Please ask me any questions you might have. No reserve.
