Sir Arthur Eddington [1882-1944, Astronomer, Physicist and Mathematician] A Small Group of 1931 Ephemera

Comprising a printed invitation card for the Annual Exhibition of The Physical Society and The Optical Society dated January 6th-8th 1931, which was to be opened by Sir Arthur Eddington. Also included is the original printed letter from the Exhibition Secretary, J.J. Hedges, noting that Eddington would be giving the opening address, and the original hand addressed envelope in which the invitation was sent.

It is interesting to note that the invitation was sent to S. Morris Bower - founder (in 1924) of the Thunderstorm Censor Organisation.
