If you're modelling any period from the 1960's and 70's (BR Blue Era) through to the present day, then this set of authentic Freightliner Containers pre-cut card & paper kit will add that extra finishing touch to your layout. We've done extensive research into the design of these to ensure they are as close to the original prototypes used in their thousands throughout the railway network during the 1960's and 70's to transport goods all over the UK. Even today, these containers can still be found in use in builders yards, goods depots, TMD's etc as storage containers for tools & makeshift shelters for the workforce. This kit provides everything you need to build a set of 4 containers... 2 pristine finish, just as they could be seen in use in the 60's & 70's along with two weathered (one of them very heavily) to represent a containers that have seen a number of years of heavy service on the network.
Our card & paper kit is very easy to assemble and comes with photographic instructions to walk you through every step of the construction. The kit is supplied with laser cut card base layers which make up the sturdy body of the container with high-resolution, professionally printed paper wraps to add the authentic livery, weathering & detail, including rivets & panel lines, door & underframe detail. There's also a wide choice of alternative container fleet numbers included too. We've made every effort to make sure that once assembled, our containers are the most detailed & realistic when compared to any other card container kits available at present featuring the Freightliner livery.
Assembly is required, but all you need is glue and a sharp knife. Full instructions included.
