This has remains one of Hearn's rarest and most desirable titles for collectors & libraries. This is essentially a biography by his very close friend and fellow writer, Elizabeth Bisland.  Hearn and Bisland often sent each other many letter because Bisland carried on an extensive correspondence with Hearn, her ability to write a true and authentic biography was a critical skill few others had. By and large the best and most reliable of all Hearn biographies.  Hearn referred to Bisland as his "literary brother" see the quote in volume 1, p.389.
