"The Pearl Dragon" is a large ceramic sculpture, and comes with a steel
rod for mounting to a wall. This work is made from stoneware clay, and
glazed with hints of color, and predominantly transparent pearl. This
work does have a few "construction faults" (please see photos, and read item description). The
biggest fault, is that the right horn broke off during the drying process.
I glazed this piece separately, and glued it on after the firing
process with E6000, a clear, strong ceramic glue. There is also a large
crack in the front teeth, as well as tiny hair line cracks throughout.
In my opinion, the cracks add to an old or "ancient" looking aesthetic.
Just please be aware of these construction faults, and see all photos. I
would be happy to send more photos upon request. Signed and dated on
the back. This work is approximately 8 in. tall X 16 in. deep X 14 in.
wide, and weighs in at a heavy 18.8 pounds. This work has been hollowed
out, and I cut a hole in the back for wall mounting purposes. This work
comes with a strong steel pipe, which requires 4 long screws, to mount
to a wall (this work must be mounted to a strong stud in the wall! No
exceptions! It is very heavy, and will easily rip out of the wall if you
screw it into drywall or wood panel that does not have that strong,
sturdy stud). If you choose not to mount it to the wall, this work can
rest flat on a desk or shelf. It could even be placed outdoors, in a
garden or on a porch. Please message me with ANY questions! Shipping
cost is calculated depending on buyer location. I will include insurance
and signature confirmation with this shipment! Thank you for viewing!
