Former Mayday Parade and Go Radio frontman Jason Lancaster makes his solo debut with As You Are, an optimistic 12-song set about love, change, and appreciation. The Florida-based songwriter seems generally in a pretty positive place with this record, whether he's expressing gratitude for his fans on "Change," thanking Jesus on "Save Me," or delivering any of the album's many love songs like "You'n Me" and "Climb Up to My Window." Released in July 2014, As You Are follows somewhat quickly after the October 2013 breakup of Go Radio and follows a similar stylistic approach, as he blends sensitive piano and acoustic guitar ballads with the more straightforward modern rock that was the hallmark of both of his previous bands.
