They ARE "TROPHY-QUALITY" tubes!!

The tubes arrived very quickly and really look great! When I tested them on my tube tester I found them to be very strong with great leakage measurement values. Actually I was very surprised at their quality and test results. Tubes are hard to buy on eBay as they are often mis-represented as good. But this vendor has provided outstanding NOS tubes.

    Great Sounding American workhorse tube, the 6U8-A reproduces sound with accurate tonality and one of the lowest-noise ECF82 variants . Superb affordable choice for hifi preamps and Guitar Amps.  The 6U8"A" is a Low-Noise rated long-life tube made to last a lifetime.



    Philips used color print and design for the special features as follows: 

    Green label: Originally Designed for computers, however, audiophiles have found this tube to be a suitable replacement for the 6U8. Designed for long heater hours, durability, high tolerance curve points, special cathode construction.


    Blue label: Aviation/aerospace. Special switching filaments. Used in missiles as an on-off switch, Industrial tubes designed for long heater hours, durability, high tolerance, shock and vibration resistance, special cathode construction, and low-noise and balanced triodes. Blue label is Perfect for AUDIO. 

    Nonetheless, all tube specifications change over time or don't change from the original factory testing, whether for Military, Industrial, or commercial, and they have to be re-tested now and today! That's why proper tube testing is necessary for any tube, regardless of what a color-code, or class of tube designates. Heater-to-Cathode leaks in a tube render it useless and too many of these undesirables are in circulation on the internet and sold by other sellers unbeknownst to them or perhaps they know and don't care.
