Further, the surround often determines the response of a speaker to peak signals. Serious speaker designers put much effort and science into the specifics of each particular surround. The type of material, treatment, thickness profile, curvature, angle of attachment and the exact method of attachment all come into play. There are as many variations of surrounds as there are speaker brands and generally they are not interchangeable. This sale is for 2 American made Sound Dynamics 300Ti foam surrounds. These foams are the correct density and weight so that your 300Ti Mid-Range speaker will function as the manufacturer intended. Not all speaker foams are equal and getting the size right is only half the battle.
