New from the Manufacturer (Bolton Metal)  - Cerrobend/Woods Metal Alloy Stick for Crystal Melting one (1) stick weighing approximately ¼ pound (.25 lb.) approximately 3½ oz. to 4½ oz.  average is 4 oz.

Some of the pictures show 3 sticks, but you will be purchasing these individually by the stick.  Each stick weighs approximately 3½ oz. to 4½ oz. (average 4 oz.)  each one is a little different in weigh and thickness, but they are all fairly similar.  Our sticks are twice the weight of others listed on eBay, so compare the weigh and prices carefully.   Theirs 1½ oz. vs. ours average 4 oz.)

This alloy is commonly used in crystal melting for crystal radios.  We are offering a small amount for crystal radio makers.  This amount will weigh approximately 3½ to 4½ oz.  Please understand that these are hand poured and be slightly different size and weighs, but you are purchasing them by the stick.

 

This shape and size is easy to handle with less mess.  You can fill about 12 or more crystal housing with each stick.  If you are in need of a larger size, we also sell this product in a 1 lb. ingots or larger, so please see our other listings or contact us..

 

Bolton 158 (formerly Cerrobend) Alloy is also used to anchor bushing in drill jigs; internal or external support of delicate parts for machining; cores for spinning; fusible mandrels in filament winding, fiberglass lamination; drop hammer and embossing dies; tube bending filler (up to 1-3/4” diameter); heat transfer medium in processing plastics, chemicals, etc.
