This is an antique sterling silver (marked) napkin ring by Henry Clifford Davis.  It has a handwrought, almost hand-hammered appearance.  It has a rolled edge on the top and bottom, all the way around.  On the outside, it has the H C D maker's mark, and also the anchor, lion and S hallmarks indicating it is sterling silver from Birmingham, and was made in 1917.  The opening is 1 5/8 inches in diameter.  The napkin ring is 7/8 inch wide and weighs 8.6 grams.  It is in very good antique condition (some minor scratches and dents).
