Add this delightfully grotty & heavily weathered Workshop / Barn / Outbuilding with fully detailed interior to your layout with this high quality, pre-weathered
card & paper kit.
This kit comes with pre-cut card base layers but will require cutting out and assembling. Glue, craft knife & cutting mat not included.


An incredibly detailed and realistic, heavily weathered breeze block workshop with corrugated asbestos effect roof, typical of the type seen all over the UK on old industrial estates, farm yards and in small villages all over Europe. This kit has a multitude of uses for any railway modeller: Village garage & mechanics, barn or farm building, blacksmiths workshop, steel fabrications workshop, and more! Suitable for a wide range of layouts, but ideal for Post War up to Modern Image. This model is based on an old workshop local to our studio in the Midlands, and features weathered and stained grey breeze block interior and exterior finish. Sturdy layered card construction with high-resolution paper texture wraps are used to produce a very realistic model for your OO scale model railway layout or 1:76 diecast diorama, with no visible cut card edges once complete.

Photographic textures have been used to create every aspect of this building kit, with realistically recessed doors, hand weathered corrugated asbestos roofing, rusty painted main doors which can be configured in open or closed positions as required. Guttering & downpipes are also included, and are now even easier to assemble. There’s also lots of added detail too, including a wide range of heavily weathered signs for the top of the building, a choice of posters & calendars for the interior, plus a very realistic workbench & two tool cupboards. Also included is a wide range of sheet metal & weathered plywood textures which can be cut into a series of random shapes to create piles of scrap metal and timber that you always find in workshops like this. There’s also a very realistic concrete floor texture included too! All textures are fully weathered giving you the most realistic building possible straight from your printer.

For the advanced modeller, there’s also optional interior roof detail in the form of I Beams / RSJ’s for that added extra finishing touch.

Other Construction Notes:
We'd recommend giving the finished kit a couple of coats of clear matt lacquer to seal the model once complete. This helps protect all card models, not just ours, from the effects of moisture and the environment etc.
