A Signed Etching of New Bond Street London by E.S. Bessell c.1920's.
A good original etching showing the view of the lower end of New Bond Street looking towards Piccadilly, a couple of motor cars and a bus in the distance and apparently showing some signs of construction work to the building at the left side (which is now Ralph Lauren I believe). Signed at the foot in pencil "E.S. Bessell". Set within the original card mount.
Image size approx. 175x305mm., overall size approx. 280x417mm. A few tone spots present, mainly to the lower edge (see photo of signature) and light grime. Overall an attractive and appealing view of the Capital.
