Originally worn by the mods as they transitioned into the late 60's psychedelic swinging scene, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin. They were then adopted in the 70's by suede heads, hippies and glam rockers like Slade and Abba. The 80s saw heavy metal kids and rock music fans adopt them as an alt to their drainpipes. Britpop revived the look in the 90s with Oasis, Blur and Supergrass, and thankfully they are still worn by fashion conscious music fans today.
