A.A.PIERSON,
ENGLISH SCHOOL C 1840
This series of views are from an album drawn and compiled by A.A. Pierson circa 1840.
Pierson was an English artist, probably living in Hertfordshire, who travelled widely round the country, including Scotland, recording his travels. He is not listed and most likely was a gifted amateur with a practised hand.
The works are all in pencil and have a light monochrome wash.
This view is of Loch Lomond and Ben Lomond, Scotland. It is annotated at the bottom and dates from circa 1840.
The condition of all is very fine. They are within acid free mounts.
