Up for sale is a remarkably near-complete lot of 98 original 1930s German collectible tobacco/cigarette cards (Cigaretten-Bilderdienst) from Sammelwerk Nr. 4: "Deutsche Märchen" (German Fairy Tales).

Beautifully illustrated by the renowned artist Paul Hey, this stunning vintage set captures timeless folklore from the Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Andersen—including The Bremen Town Musicians, Little Red Riding Hood, The Star Money, The Golden Goose, and many more.

A complete master collection consists of exactly 100 cards across three groups. This incredible lot features 98 out of the 100 total cards, making it a fantastic nearly-complete instant collection or a goldmine for filling a master album.

What is Included in this Lot:

• 98 Vintage Fairy Tale Cards (Double/Large format)

• 3 Original 1930s Paper Packaging Envelopes (Bilder-Gruppe 12, 13, and 14)

Condition:

• Cards: Excellent vintage condition overall for their age (approx. 90 years old). The colored artwork remains vivid, and the text on the backs is highly legible. The cards have clean edges and sharp corners with minimal wear. They appear to have never been pasted or glued into an album, which is highly desirable for collectors.

• Paper Envelopes: Showing expected historical wear, edge fraying, and minor tearing as typical for fragile paper ephemera of this era, but completely legible and intact enough to safely house the subsets.
