A gorgeous, fully functional Leica IIIf with a Summitar 5 cm f/1:2 lens. Body s/n 513400 and lens s/n 785812, both made in 1950. It started out life as a IIIc and was later factory refurbished with flash synchronisation and self timer to IIIf specs as was common back then.
The lens is clear and dust free and has the tiny air bubbles that are typical of these lenses. The coating is perfect. The diaphragm has been recently serviced and is smooth as silk.
All shutter speeds are functional, the shutter curtains are clean and free of damage and the self timer runs smoothly. Both viewfinder and rangefinder are bright and clear, the rangefinder images line up properly and focusing is accurate.
There is no brassing of the chrome, only a few bright marks on the top plate. The bottom plate has a few scratches and a slight indentation around the tripod thread.
The vulcanite is undamaged and looks fantastic. With the bottom plate removed, the insides look virtually new and the plate has camera serial number hand inscribed. The take-up spool is in place. I have put plenty of film through this camera, and everything works as it did the day it was made.
The camera comes with an original Leica lens cap and a soft, woven strap. All pictures are of the actual items - ask any questions you like.
