Listing: 1 x clockwork tinplate metal shunting train model with 1 x train and 1 x carriage.

Condition: Used, vintage condition. No original packaging, no instructions. Clock work key is included. Train and carriage is included. This item has been tested as working, please see the listing video. The clockwork key can be turned. The shunting clockwork part of the model works, moving up and down on the track to move the train and carriage. This part can turn around at the ends to start again. Can move both the train and carriage at once. Please note, when both train and carriage are on track, the shunting part cannot turn around at the end opposite to the clockwork key, as the train plus carriage is too long. This part can rotate back with no models, or just one model on the track. The roof to the station is not fixed. The train model and carriage can be removed from the track. Some surface wear, some metal wear, some paint wear. From smoke-free and pet free premises.

Description: A vintage clockwork, tinplate train model. 

Wind up the model using the clockwork key. The shunting part will then move down the train track, moving the train towards the station. The shunting part can pivot and rotate around to go back again when there are no or one model part on the track. Please note, when there is both the train and the carriage on the track, there is not enough room for the shunting part to get to the rotating part. This is a design flaw with the model, and not a flaw with this individual listing. 

When the shunting part stops, it simply needs the clockwork key to be wound up again. Where the shunting part stops varies depends on when the clockwork mechanism stops and runs outs. 

As expected with vintage clockwork models, the shunting part occasionally runs with stop / starts.

Labelled as D.R.P. D.R.G.M. The D.R.G.M mark was used between 1891 - 1952. This confirms this model was made before 1952.
