For sale we have a hard to find “Steelite Ebonite” bass clarinet mouthpiece made by Riffault. This is of the more desirable Riffault bass clarinet mouthpieces, compared to other Riffaults you typically see it has a much flatter beak angle and a more complex baffle. Overall it is in great shape with no teeth marks or major signs of wear other than some slight fading of the hard rubber. The facing does appear to have been touched up however it features a fairly symmetric 1.5mm tip opening paired with a 25mm length which is very typical of the time period and there is still plenty of material left for a reface. As is it plays quite well with a #3 reed with a nice focused tone, though it would be a fantastic candidate for a reface.
