This piece is an authentic turn-of-the-century heavy composition / chalkware plaster casting. It features an incredibly well-executed, multi-toned faux bronze patina finish that perfectly mimics aged foundry metal. The massive 20 lb weight is due to the dense composition and the traditional thick-walled casting method. The underside reveals the raw inner composition core and protective felt pads.
