Up for sale is a beautiful, highly detailed vintage art pewter/tin sculpture depicting a charming young girl wearing a classic bonnet, dress, and apron, gently carrying a woven basket overflowing with flowers. This piece was sculpted by renowned artist Franz Xaver Diewald and features exquisite texture work on her hair, clothing, and the floral elements. It has a substantial, solid weight characteristic of premium cast pewter. The bottom of the figurine features its original brown protective felt backing to prevent scratching on surfaces. Intact at the center is the original black and silver foil sticker which reads: "RUF-DESIGN HANDARBEIT MADE IN GERMANY"(Handarbeit translates from German to "Handcrafted" / "Handmade"). The cast metal retains a gorgeous, soft pewter patina with sharp contrast in the details. No cracks, deep gouges, or structural damage.
