Charming handmade yellow quilt featuring 12 individual floral handkerchief-style appliqué blocks in soft blue, pink, yellow and green. The reverse reveals lovely decorative floral quilting with large stitched flowers and leaves throughout. Finished with a distinctive pinked/zigzag edge. The lightweight construction makes this beautiful as a twin bed covering, large throw, cottage quilt or decorative textile. The floral handkerchiefs have a wonderful mid-century look. Based on the construction and materials, I would describe the quilt as vintage, likely from the second half of the 20th century, but an exact date is unknown.
