Up for sale is an exceptional 147-piece silver-plated flatware set for 12, crafted in Brussels during the early 20th century.

This complete service features the iconic Model 205, designed in the Empire style by the prestigious Belgian silversmiths Wolfers Frères. The design highlights clean, symmetrical lines, stylized palmettes, and classic early 19th-century leaf motifs. The knives feature straight, squared handles that mirror original Empire-period cutlery shapes.

A note on the maker & history:

While Model 205 was originally created for Wolfers' solid sterling silver production, the company marketed this high-grade silver-plated version under the Bruno Wiskemann brand during the interwar period. Using their original master dies and workshop tooling, Wolfers produced this line to cater to the changing market while preserving the exclusive name of their solid silver pieces. The quality and craftsmanship are identical to Wolfers' fine silver production.

Finding a set this comprehensive is rare, it includes 12 matching knife rests and a full suite of 11 serving pieces, with all 6 espresso spoons retaining their delicate gold-washed (vermeil) bowls.
