This is a wonderful and rare to find Antique Silver and Niello Checkerboard Match / Vesta Case, with a match striker to the base, made c1890. It bears some Silver marks but as they’re rubbed we’re unable to determine any information from them.

It is in good condition but does exhibit some age-related wear from handling and use, which includes some surface marks, commensurate with the age of the piece. It measures approximately 5cm by 2.5cm.
