PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
A Tiffany & Co. Jewel Box pendant necklace in 18K yellow gold, set with an emerald-cut aquamarine within an open rectangular frame and suspended from an elongated paperclip link chain. The pendant frame measures 11.9 by 9.9mm, and the aquamarine measures 7.4 by 5.2mm, with an estimated weight of approximately 0.90 carats. The necklace is 17.5" long and weighs 13.9 grams. In excellent condition, recently polished.
Founded in New York in 1837, Tiffany & Co. has a long tradition of pairing colored gemstones with clean, precise gold work. The Jewel Box design frames a single stone in an open, three-dimensional setting rather than a conventional mount, a quietly sculptural approach to the solitaire pendant. The design is no longer in Tiffany's current line.
Condition: Excellent, recently polished. Polish bright and even. Aquamarine bright and clean, with crisp facet edges. Hallmarks clear and legible.
