Our heat pump non-mixing valve assembly is designed for wet underfloor heating systems where the heat source is already supplying water at the required UFH flow temperature.
Unlike a conventional thermostatic blending valve, this assembly does not mix hot flow water with cooler return water. Instead, it provides a direct-flow arrangement, making it particularly suited to correctly designed low-temperature heat pump systems.
The assembly features 3/4" female connections together with temperature gauges, allowing the system temperatures to be easily monitored during operation.
A practical solution for heat pump installations where a traditional UFH mixing valve is unnecessary and could interfere with the intended low-temperature system design.

Why Use A Non-Mixing Valve With A Heat Pump?
Traditional boiler-fed underfloor heating systems commonly require a thermostatic blending valve because the boiler may supply water at a significantly higher temperature than the UFH system requires.
Modern heat pumps are designed to operate efficiently at lower flow temperatures. Where the heat pump and underfloor heating system have been correctly designed to operate at the same required flow temperature, there may be no need to blend the water down further.
A non-mixing arrangement allows the correctly controlled water from the heat pump to circulate directly through the underfloor heating system without introducing unnecessary temperature blending.
This can provide a simple and effective hydraulic arrangement for low-temperature heat pump UFH installations.

This is a NON-MIXING valve assembly. It does not contain a thermostatic blending function and will not reduce the incoming water temperature.
It should therefore only be used where the heat source and system controls are designed to provide a suitable flow temperature directly to the underfloor heating system.
Please check your system design and the 3/4" female connection sizes before ordering.
