Gwyneth Paltrow:
Gwyneth Paltrow emerged

Following early roles in films including Se7en and Emma, she gave
acclaimed performances in Sliding Doors, Great Expectations, and The
Talented Mr. Ripley. Her portrayal of Viola de Lesseps in Shakespeare
in Love earned her both the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best
Actress and established her at the highest level of international film

Its 27mm stainless
steel case has the collection's sculptural integrated-bracelet profile
and engraved Arabic-numeral bezel, while the dial is natural white
mother-of-pearl set with diamond hour markers. The mother-of-pearl
changes subtly with the light, giving the otherwise clean steel design
warmth and depth, while the diamonds add sparkle without turning the
watch into conventional jewelry.
Unlike many smaller
ladies watches of its era, this Linea is mechanically interesting as
well. It is powered by a signed Baume & Mercier Swiss automatic
movement visible through the sapphire exhibition back. That combination
of automatic mechanics, mother-of-pearl, diamond markers and an
integrated steel bracelet makes it a serious little luxury watch even
before its provenance is considered.
It
presents in authentic, extensively worn condition, with the honest
character of a piece that appears to have been frequently enjoyed by
its celebrated former owner. We have not cleaned or polished the watch
- we left the outside as we acquired it which includes many signs of
Ms. Paltrow's use. If you would like the watch expertly polished to
present in excellent condition, please inquire.
On the inside, we have performed any needed servicing on the movement and timed it making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
It is running very strong and true, keeping time on par with new Linea.
Included
with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the
movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of
Time Certificate of Authenticity, a new timing certificate attesting to its performance. Also
accompanying it is a Certificate of Authenticity and Provenance from a
well-known auction house.
