WHAT YOU ARE BUYING? 💚 a stunning, sort after antique stained oak? cased last 19th century, USA made, round faced mechanical mantle clock. There is the Ansonia, Tivoli model clock company mark to the movement and dial. Classic Gingerbread design with white and gilt coloured metal and enamel inlaid ring dial, metal dial surround with very stylish Roman numbers to finish, 2 train winding movement, glass covered dial, winds to front, striking clock.
CONDITION REPORT- We have checked it over, and we are sure it is working so we sell as working, but possibly needing attention. The case has some issues.
The movement looks reasonably clean. Winds freely with original pendulum and a key (possibly not original). We cannot guarantee accuracy or working correctly long term.
We would recommend full overhaul and clean, may need replacement parts, plus possible specialist repairs, We would also recommend the case to receive some gentle cleaning and restoration.
Piece is unusual item with case wear, and a few scratches, and minor stress and damage to the wood and dial, should be able to be restored and clean up nice, all issues shown. Does have a some minor wear to face as mentioned above, be aware the whole piece will need attention.
Please only buy if happy with what you see in photos. Would suit a hobby or restoration project.
Lovely classic style piece, looks very striking and beautiful quality.
Standing piece is approximately 38cm tall by 15cm wide x 29.5cm long (base)
CLEANING ANTIQUES and VINTAGE items - please note, we do not over clean antique porcelain and other delicate items. Enthusiastic cleaning can damage surfaces, dislodged glazes and paint and destroy desirable patina. The amount of cleaning required will be left to the buyer to decide. Thank you.
